Experiments

A prototype is allowed to be incomplete.

Experiments are deliberately lighter than projects. They exist to test one idea, record the result, and move on. An experiment does not have to become a product to have been worth doing.

Recorded experiments

Nothing logged yet.

No experiments have been written up

Two projects in the registry are already classified as experiments — Website 3D Testing and Anabhi Playground. Writing either of them up using the template below is the natural first entry here.

The template

Seven lines, nothing more.

Keeping the template short is the point. A heavy format is why experiments go unrecorded.

What I wanted to test
One sentence. The narrower, the better.
Why
What triggered it — a bug, a limitation, a curiosity.
Hypothesis
What was expected to happen, written before running it.
Implementation
How it was actually built. Stack, shortcuts, scope.
Result
What happened. A failed result is still a result.
What I learned
The part worth carrying into the next project.
Next step
Continue, park it, or close it. Deciding is part of the record.
